sweater frontsweater back

My first big project using yarn from my fiber.

The yarn in this sweater was processed at Klamath River Alpacas mini mill using fiber from my alpacas....don't ask or I'll tell you all of their names. I took a class called "Design your own Tee-shirt" at "Sew What"" in Redding taught by Alisone Malone.

I chose the colors that I could wear into the show ring should I actually succeed at completing a sweater!! I am just thrilled to have gotten such a big project completed.

My next project is another sweater I'll be learning in a class "knitting from the top down" Also taught by Alisone

What a trio!! These babies born within just a short time of each other never stop running. Truly a wonderful group of babies.

We had a fun time introducing
Peruvian Grand Moreno to our herd to see if we could get some of that fiber on some darker animals.
We had some interesting results. Two cria delivered - both with Grand Moreno's outstanding fleece - both unusual color.

Steve just sheared Sentinel and it was clear, he is actually a dark rose gray. With such crimpy, soft and well structured fiber, we knew we must add him to our herd..

COMING TO US FROM SILVER ROSE RANCH!!
